When you change a setting to prevent a user from doing a specific task, you will not be able to do that task in the design program unless you change the setting again.
In the design window, make sure the PivotTable list is activated. For instructions, see Help for your design program.
Click Commands and Options on the toolbar.
Click the title bar of the PivotTable list.
In the Commands and Options dialog box, click the Protection tab.
Do one of the following:
Prevent adding, changing, or removing filters
Clear the Filter check box.
Prevent grouping or changing the layout
Clear the Group and change layout check box.
Prevent sorting data in custom order
Clear the Custom order items check box.
Prevent displaying detail data
Clear the Display detail data check box.
Clear the Edit detail data check box.
Clear the Insert new detail rows check box.
Clear the Delete detail rows check box.
Prevent access to the Commands and Options dialog box
Clear the View the Commands and Options Window in run mode check box.
